"The album does a stellar job of capturing the mysterious atmosphere this legend evokes, and the work as a whole is an absolute joy to listen to. A Visible Chill...will undoubtedly rank among the very best atmospheric metal releases of 2015." 4.5/5

- Brian Donarski, Sputnikmusic (Featured Review)

"It's 23 minutes of focused progressive metal never without a rich atmosphere, bringing in folk and choir elements which aren't so much a hindrance to this accomplished sound as they are a mere blessing. A nice, poignant way to kick off 2015 indeed.” 4.5/5

- Jared Floryan, Sputnikmusic

"Basically every track involves a good use of manipulating the relation between texture and melodies. Plus the flute and choir sections add a very nice touch to the theme...A Visible Chill is a very well crafted EP of progressive metal." 4/5

- Liam W, Sputnikmusic

Track Name: A Visible Chill (Remaster)
[from the diary of mountaineer J. Norman Collie, 1925]

"I was returning from the cairn on the summit in a mist when I began to think I heard something else than merely the noise of my own footsteps. Every few steps I took I heard a crunch, then another crunch as if someone was walking after me but taking steps three or four times the length of my own. I said to myself 'this is all nonsense'.

“I listened and heard it again but could see nothing in the mist. As I walked on and the eerie crunch, crunch sounded behind me I was seized with terror and took to my heels, staggering blindly among the boulders for four or five miles nearly down to Rothiemurchus Forest.

Whatever you make of it I do not know, but there is something very queer about the top of Ben MacDhui and will not go back there again by myself I know."

Only their bones remain
Bleached under a cold sun
Whistling in arctic wind
Their stories untold

Why have you forsaken?
How could you abandon?
Where once was light
We grope for…

This, our sixth sense of fear
A visible chill hangs in the air
Only the new moon
Watches over our pallor
